Ravensclough by richi156 Ravensclough by richi156
An ancient bridleway used by drovers for hundreds of years...now used by no one. In the bottom of the valley is a bridge over a stream with an odd volcanic stone in the centre of the wall. Local legend has it that if you tap the stone five times at midnight an old mail coach driven by 6 horses comes charging down the hill...miles from anywhere in the middle of the woods, anybody dare try it ????

...I'm afraid I'm far too much of a wimp for that kind of malarky. You'd have to come hold my hand :P
